Spinnaker Fuel Tax version 3

Our summer incentive for existing users of Spinnaker Fuel Tax version 3 who wish to upgrade to version 4 continues during June. So any existing version 3 customers are eligible for a limited time to receive a subscription credit up to the amount you have already spent for your Spinnaker Fuel Tax version 3.  All credits will be calculated with a starting date of June 1, 2008. Based on our new pricing structure described below this could easily mean a year or more of free usage of version 4 before your first subscription payment will come due. But since all credits will have a starting date of June 1, 2008, the sooner you upgrade, the more free subscription time you will earn. As an example, if you purchased Fuel Tax version 3 for 4 trucks you paid (with quantity discounts) $220. 5 trucks will now cost $100/year so if you upgrade by June 1 you will not have to pay your subscription until August, 2010.

                                          MyFuelTax Version 4.0

Over time we have had numerous requests from customers who have changed business names or who have made errors in their UserProfile name to easily change the name without first deleting the old profile and entering a new one. That has now been completed starting this month. You will now notice that with the latest downloads, the UserProfile window has a new button to rename a profile. So now when you change your userprofile name, all the pertinent folders and data files are simultaneously changed for you. No longer any need to change file names to adjust to the new profile name.

We also now offer the ability for you to set a default user for your program. That means that for users with multiple userprofiles, you can, if you wish, set one of the existing profiles to be the default so that when you open the program that user is already selected for you. You can set the default user directly from the Welcome screen by going to "Tools/Settings" in the gray toolbar at the top of the page and selecting the default user there.

We recently completed the Mississippi filing form and made it available in both version 3 and version 4. That brings our total number of IFTA filing forms currently available for use to 43 in all. The full list of state and provincial forms now available with the Fuel Tax Program is: AB, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, PQ, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY.    All forms are $25/year each. We are always working to add more states(or provinces) to the list, so if you have a particular interest in having the form for your state or province just let us know. We will be happy to create an IFTA filing form for your jurisdiction for the same $25/year fee.

We definitely invite and encourage any of you to feel free to notify us of any announced or any noticed changes to your state's IFTA filing form. Sometimes the easiest way is to compare the Revision date on the bottom of the forms that the state sends you to the Revision date on the bottom of the forms that you print using Spinnaker Fuel Tax. Please be aware that we are usually not notified of these changes and we really want to keep our products current for you.

Pricing for MyFuelTax version 4.0 is as follows:

1 truck = $50/year, 2-4 trucks = $100/year,  5-8 trucks = $200/year,  9-14 trucks = $300/year,   15-25 trucks = $400/year, 26+ trucks = unlimited = $500/year

MyFleetManager Version 2.0

The exciting news about MYFleetManager version 2.0 is that it now also integrates with MyFuelTax. So if you have MyFleetManager and Mappoint, you can now enter trips and expenses (including fuel) into MyFleetManager and MyFuelTax version 4 will enter your IFTA miles and fuel for you.

Pricing for MyFleetManager version 2.0 is as follows:

1 truck = $50/year, 2-5 trucks = $100/year,  6-15 trucks = $200/year,  16-25 trucks = $300/year,   26-50 trucks = $400/year, unlimited = $500/year.

                                          MyGPSLogger Version 1.0 Beta

MyGPSLogger version 1.0 is also now available for Beta download and testing. As we have announced before, this feature will let you log GPS coordinates, using a GPS receiver, right into a laptop in your truck. The logger will create files that can then be run through Mappoint for Miles and Miles in State and entered automatically into the Trip entry dialog of myFuelTax.

Pricing for MyGPSLogger verson 1.0 is $50/year per truck for 1 to 4 trucks. Above 4 trucks it is $3/month per truck.
